As I Rose Up One Morning

As I Rose Up One Morning

A4 print in a white 11"x14" mount ready for framing.  A4 (landscape orientation).

From an original oil painting by Ashley Hyland.

Printed in London, painted in Sussex, England.

Wrapped in a cello sleeve for protection when handing.

This painting is inspired by the title of a modern English folk song by David Gibb that is based on an older children's rhyme.  It is the starting point for 'GOLDILOCKS SEES ROBERT'S PATH' from the  'AFTERLIGHT SERIES'.

The SWEET BLUES series was inspired by the Shirley Collin's song, 'Sweet Blues and Greens' and her beautifully lyrical descriptions of family life in the countryside.  It was wonderful to be able to see her perform this piece in 2021 at Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex.
