Spencer's Rest 1
A4 print in a white 11"x14" mount ready for framing. A4 (portrait orientation).
From an original oil painting by Ashley Hyland.
Printed in London, painted in Sussex, England.
Wrapped in a cello sleeve for protection when handing.
This print is named after a famous Sussex folk song sung by the Copper Family, 'Spencer the Rover'. It is the left side of a pair of prints that can be hung together. The matching second print is 'Spencer's Rest 2'.
The SWEET BLUES series was inspired by the Shirley Collin's song, 'Sweet Blues and Greens' and her beautifully lyrical descriptions of family life in the countryside. It was wonderful to be able to see her perform this piece in 2021 at Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex.
